Funders
ATSDR
The Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry (ATSDR) established the PEHSU program and provides funding for the national PEHSU network. ATSDR provides programmatic leadership and support for PEHSU efforts to prevent and reduce environmental exposures and improve reproductive and children's health.
EPA
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) partners with ATSDR to support the PEHSU network. EPA provides funding and works with regional PEHSUs to address children's environmental health priorities in communities across the country.
National Program Office
Public Health Institute
The Public Health Institute (PHI) serves as the PEHSU National Program Office (NPO), providing coordination and support for the national network of 10 regional Pediatric Environmental Health Specialty Units.
PHI is an independent nonprofit organization focused on improving health and advancing health equity. As the PEHSU National Program Office, PHI works with federal partners and the regional PEHSUs to support the network's shared mission of creating healthy environments for all children. The NPO provides program coordination, administrative and financial support, communications, and other resources that help regional PEHSUs carry out their work across the country.

Denver Health
Denver Health has served the Denver community for more than 165 years, since its founding in 1860. As the region's primary safety-net health system, Denver Health provides equitable, high-quality care to every patient regardless of their ability to pay, alongside financial assistance for those who qualify.
Today, Denver Health is an integrated system that includes a Level I Trauma Center, a network of primary and specialty care clinics, School-Based Health Centers, the Denver Health Paramedic Division and the Public Health Institute at Denver Health. As an academic affiliate of the University of Colorado School of Medicine, Denver Health also trains the next generation of physicians and health care professionals while advancing research and community health partnerships.
Denver Health provides the clinical and institutional home for the Region 8 PEHSU.

The University of Colorado is the primary academic medical partner for the Region 8 PEHSU, in partnership with Denver Health.
Regional partners
Rocky Mountain Poison & Drug Safety
Rocky Mountain Poison & Drug Safety (RMPDS) is a key partner in the Region 8 PEHSU, bringing expertise in toxicology, poison prevention, environmental exposures, and clinical consultation. The organization is also part of the PEHSU's hospital affiliation. The RMPDS manages the PEHSU's phone line and provides support in the direct consultation program.

Subgrantees
Rocky Mountain PEHSU works with partners throughout the six-state region to extend environmental health education, consultation, and resources to local communities.
